Even when you're an ass, I'm thinking of ways to make you happy. Yes. I can think about multiple things at a time these days which enables me to hate you/love you at the same time. Yes. I think this is normal. After all, I don't believe anyone can make you angrier than the person that you love the most. Right?
Anyway, it just so happened that just before our knock-down drag-out tiff the other night, I had been reading my therapeutic book for crazies and it suggested that I find something positive in someone I love and focus on it. As you already know, I have started my, "reasons I love my husband" list. I always wondered why Mama Kat had a list like this, but it makes total sense now. It does give me something to focus on when I'm so mad that I could spit at you in true Delta Belle fashion.
Here's my start:
- I love that you are so dedicated and passionate about things that our boys enjoy, such as soccer.
- I love that you are my khaki pants boy. I always said that I would marry one and you made that dream come true.
- I love that after 12 years I can still fill up an entire trash can with the garbage that you fill up your car with. It's disgusting, but SO you.

I was thinking today how disposable people think marriage is and how sad that was. Hmmmmm, I'm going to need to make a list.
Yea I think I need to start a list so that when I am so mad at him I could scream I can go read it and realize deep down I still love him no matter what.
Ok, since I know what the "tiff" was over the other night, I feel like I can put my "2 cents" in here. 1. You are a much nicer person that I would have been! 2. I applaud you for "duking it out". Personally I would have just turned off the phone. But then again, that's how I roll - if things get overheated, I say turn off the burner and let them cool down. Mr. C and I can get into some pretty heated arguments sometimes and he thinks hashing things out is a better idea. He doesn't understand when I just want to walk away and let things cool down. But like I said, that's how I roll...
I admire you so much for being the "bigger person" and looking for things that make you happy with him instead of reasons to run. I think everyone should start a list like that. #1 on my list will be that I love my DH because he thinks I should spend more time with my friends regardless of where we go or what we do as long as I don't break my marriage vows. His intentions may just be so that I will reciprocate the favor when he wants to go out with the guys but that is ok by me too.

AFRo, I admire you too for making your list. If I had that kind of list for every time Mr. C did something that aggravated me, it would reach from here to Texas! And LaLa, I like the way your husband thinks. Too bad more husbands aren't like him!!!! Can we clone him?!?!?!?!??! hehehehe!!!
And I too had a good time the other night. It helps to get away from everything and act like a young spring chick every now and then!

Number 3 on your list makes me laugh. What is it about trash in a man's car? I clean the car out every time I drive it, but he can ride in it for less than an hour and it looks like all the fast food joints got together and had a party on the passenger side of the car.
